SHOOT THE TARGET is a journey of two people in search of a common goal, a dialogue between two bodies that synchronize their steps to go further, support each other to rest, propel one another to reach greater distances, care for and protect each other. A spiral that immerses us in a vital journey, shifting from youthful energy to the weight of maturity, drawing a parallel with the journey of the company.
SHOOT THE TARGET emerges from a need to return to the origin. After all these years since the beginning of Proyecto Larrua, we feel compelled to look back at that first residency together, that initial research that resulted in our first street performance piece under the same name, LARRUA. We place ourselves in that same position but now with the experience and knowledge we have gained, returning to investigate, to engage in a dialogue through movement. Dance in unconventional spaces is part of our identity, something we have been doing for many years out of a passion to bring dance to all audiences and for the connection that it fosters. This is why we have always committed to creating site-specific pieces, considering the proximity, the 360-degree view, the ephemeral nature, acoustic contamination, and other unique characteristics of these spaces.
