OJO DE BUEY (Through the Ox’s Eye), is a contemporary dance piece that delves into the ancient bond between humans and animals through physicality, labour, and endurance. Inspired by the traditional Basque ox-dragging contests (idi-probak), the work expands into a universal reflection on effort, coexistence with nature, and the fine line between dominance and symbiosis.

Seen through the eyes of the ox, the piece unfolds a dreamlike landscape where the rural world becomes a space of poetry and struggle. The weight of labour, the fight for survival, and the yearning for freedom shape the performance, posing a lingering question: Who is truly the beast, and who is the human?
