HARRIA is a contemporary dance choreography competition showcasing performances specifically designed for urban spaces. Organized by Proyecto Larrua in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, this competition serves as a platform for companies looking to present their latest street performances, as well as for young choreographers and emerging companies seeking opportunities to develop and promote their work in unconventional spaces.
This year, for the first time, the competition is open not only to participants from Spain but also from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie regions. From the submitted applications, four proposals will be selected to take part in the competition, which will be held within the framework of the Kaldearte Street Arts Festival in Vitoria-Gasteiz on the morning of June 15, 2025.
The theme of the choreographies is open, with a focus on contemporary dance. Special consideration will be given to works specifically created for urban spaces rather than adaptations of pieces originally designed for theaters or indoor venues.
Each selected company will receive a travel grant of €220.
